Ron Jetty (Spirit Lake Dakota / Turtle Mountain Chippewa) is the Indigenous Education Coordinator in the Mary T. Kellner Teacher Education Center. He provides expertise and collegial support across the School of Education’s educator preparation programs as they infuse teaching, learning, and curriculum regarding Indigenous histories, cultures, treaties, and tribal sovereignty. This work is in service of the School of Education’s commitment to meeting Wisconsin’s Act 31 state requirements.
Ron started his career as a high school teacher in Stockton, California and was also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at Miami University in Oxford, OH; a Teaching and Learning Consultant with the Wisconsin Education Association Council and the Director of PK-16 Initiatives at UW System Administration. He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
