UW Madison student in student teaching role

UW–Madison School of Education Wisconsin Teacher Pledge Program

Paying for college can be hard. The School of Education wants to help. The Teacher Pledge program offers financial support to future Wisconsin teachers.

The School of Education pledges to pay the equivalent of in-state tuition and fees, testing, and licensing costs for all our teacher education students. In return, you pledge to work at a Wisconsin PK-12 school for three to four school years after graduation. We want to empower you to make a difference. Contact us to learn more about the Teacher Pledge.

“The Teacher Pledge put my mind at ease, and additionally it was encouraging to see this institution invest in teachers and in the future.”

— Jon-Luc Cayabyab (Summer 2021 graduate, MS in Secondary Education)
