Are you ready to become a teacher? You can learn about UW–Madison’s teacher education programs and steps to getting certified and licensed on our “Become a Teacher” page. Connect with an advisor to plan a pathway that matches your goals and interests.
When you are ready to become a teacher, the Teacher Pledge program is here to provide financial aid. Pledge to work at a Wisconsin PK-12 school for three to four school years after graduation, and we will provide financial support equalivalent to the cost of in-state tuition and segregated fees fees, testing, and licensing costs during your time enrolled in a teacher education program.
