
Kimber Wilkerson is a professor of Special Education. She is the Principal Investigator (PI) of a 5-year, $2.5M Teacher Quality Partnership grant serving rural and other high-need Wisconsin school districts, as well as PI on an Institute of Education Sciences research grant to develop and examine virtual coaching and an online community of practice for rural special educators. She is also co-PI on two federally-funded grants to prepare master’s level special educators and one doctoral leadership grant. Dr. Wilkerson has broad expertise in the preparation of teachers to work with students with disabilities and providing instruction to students with disabilities to improve their long-term academic and social/behavioral outcomes.
